5 AI Tools to x10 Your Productivity

You’ve probably seen the Avengers movies by now and in those movies somehing which always struck me was the AI which Tony Stark had at his disposal. When I watched those movies again recently I realised how much AI is going to change our lives. All the tiem consuming tasks we do now will soon be done by AI and we will have more time to focus on what we truly want to spend our time on.

How YOU Will Be Losing Out If You Don’t Use AI Tools

Now that ChatGPT has become a very popular tool, we all know about that student who used it to complete an assignment for them. Imagine how much more time that student saved compared to their classmates. They can get more done in the same amount of time because they realised that in life there are some tasks which humans should not waste time on in order to focus on more important ones.

Not only is AI saving time, but it can also save you money. Let’s take a business for example. Many businesses pay employees to complete tasks such as:

• Customer Care

• Personal Assistants

• Sales

• Copywriting

• Marketing

In a few years AI will probably be capable of completing these tasks better than humans can — this means that businesses would save a lot of money by opting to use these tools rather than relying on employees to get these tasks done.

It’s a sad reality, but it’s a truth we have to accept.

Things to Use AI For

Everyday there are new AI tools being developed for a wide variety of tasks and what you need to ask yourself is ‘’Should I automate this task or should I focus on it and do it myself?’’.

If the task can be automated and does noit require much of your focus and creativity then it is wasting your time because there is no advantage to having a human do it rather than giving the task done by AI.

Here are some examples of how I have used AI:

Creating flashcards by copying and pasting notes into ChatGPT and asking it to make flashcards or practice questions based on the notes I provided.

Summarising a long set of notes into bulleted lists in order to make it easier for me to read rather than reading a lot of long paragraphs which make me lose my focus

• Asking ChatGPT to provide me with a gym routine based on my specific needs, basically an AI Personal Trainer.

A Trap You Should Avoid and How To Avoid It

Many argue that using AI tools to carry out your tasks will make you dumb over time because you train your brain less due to not doing the work yourself. There may be some truth to this, however, here’s how to avoid it.

Only use AI tools for completing tasks which do not require a lot of brain power and reserve your brain power for more creative tasks.

Some examples are asking AI to:

• give you bulleted summaries instead of having to read whole paragraphs

outline structures for blog posts or essays then you fill in the actual content yourself

• create tables for you (Notion AI)

• set reminders for you (Alexa and Siri)

social media management (like scheduling a post)

This not only saves you time but also reserves your energy for tasks which require more creativity and therefore brain power.
